Our Services

Oral Surgery Treatments

Safe, precise and patient-focused care for teeth and oral conditions that may require a minor surgical procedure.

Simple & Surgical Tooth Extraction

Removal of teeth that are damaged, decayed, fractured or unsuitable for restoration, following a clinical assessment.

Wisdom Tooth Removal

Assessment of painful, decayed or problematic wisdom teeth. Removal is recommended only when clinically indicated.

Impacted Tooth Assessment

Evaluation of teeth that have not erupted normally, with suitable imaging and a treatment plan based on the case.

Surgical Exposure of Teeth

In selected cases, a tooth may be surgically exposed as part of a coordinated orthodontic treatment plan.

Removal of Retained Roots

Assessment and removal of broken or retained root fragments when removal is appropriate and beneficial.

Oral Infection & Abscess Assessment

Evaluation of dental infections and swelling, with appropriate treatment or referral based on urgency and severity.

Minor Pre-Prosthetic Procedures

Selected procedures to prepare the mouth for dentures or other restorations when clinically necessary.

Oral Surgery Consultation

Individual evaluation, explanation of available options and specialist referral when a procedure is outside our service scope.

The appropriate procedure depends on examination, medical history and imaging where indicated. Not every tooth requires extraction or surgery.

A considered approach

Every Smile Deserves an Individual Plan

Oral surgery starts with understanding the problem—not simply deciding which tooth to remove. We discuss your symptoms, medical history and treatment goals before recommending a suitable approach.

  • ✓Clinical examination and review of your symptoms.
  • ✓Dental X-rays or other imaging when needed for safe planning.
  • ✓Discussion of benefits, risks, alternatives and expected recovery.
  • ✓Local anaesthesia and appropriate pain-control planning.
  • ✓Clear aftercare instructions and follow-up when required.
Before your visit: Tell your dentist about all medicines, allergies, medical conditions and any history of bleeding problems. Do not stop prescribed medicines unless your treating clinician advises you to.

Supporting Your Recovery

Aftercare & Recovery

Your dentist will provide instructions suited to the procedure you receive. These general tips do not replace your individual instructions.

Helpful Steps After Oral Surgery

  • ✓Bite on gauze as instructed to help control bleeding.
  • ✓Rest and avoid strenuous activity for the period advised by your dentist.
  • ✓Choose soft, cool or lukewarm foods initially and stay hydrated.
  • ✓Use prescribed or recommended medicines exactly as directed.
  • ✓Keep the mouth clean, following the timing and method advised for your procedure.
  • ✓Avoid smoking and alcohol during early healing; follow your dentist's specific advice.
After an extraction: Avoid vigorous rinsing, spitting or disturbing the socket during the first 24 hours unless your clinician gives different instructions. This helps protect the blood clot.

When to Seek Urgent Help

Contact your dentist promptly if you experience:

  • Bleeding that does not settle with the advised pressure.
  • Severe or worsening pain, especially after initial improvement.
  • Increasing swelling, fever, pus or feeling significantly unwell.
  • Difficulty opening your mouth that is worsening or concerning.

Emergency warning: Difficulty breathing or swallowing, rapidly spreading swelling of the face or neck, or swelling affecting the eye requires immediate emergency medical care. Do not wait for a routine dental appointment.
